Duties Of Baseball Agents

  • Determine the market  value of the player's services, not the value of a player.   

  • Negotiate a  price for  the team to pay his client's services.

  •  Understand the financial needs of the client and structure the contract accordingly.

  • Financial planning and management services, in relation to salary, investments, and tax planning.

  • Understands the contracts of the Major League Baseball association, and the Major League Baseball Players Association.

  • Negotiates future employment contracts in relationship to trades or new teams. 

  • Negotiates  income from commercials, endorsements or speeches. 

  • Acts as a Press intermediary.
